We on a B & B and offered the wine for a babymoon to a couple who was 7 mos. pregnant. They loved the wine. Stated it tasted almost like the real thing and not harmful to the baby.I am most impressed with all of the FRE non-alcoholic beverages. I have tried them all and can say BRAVO! This was just perfect for a small intimate celebration and loved that I got the classic sound of the cork popping. If you don’t show someone the label, everything about this seems like a legit bottle. If you want to be non-alcoholic yet have the experience of champagne this is it. an amazing pear flavor and bubbly. Highly recommendI'm so grateful to Sutter Home for making this. I love champagne! I have tried every type and cost of sparkling wine, Prosecco and Champagne. In agreement with others, this will not fool a true champagne drinker, especially if you like dry, crisp, effervescent, and expensive champagne. However, if you've only ever had inexpensive champagne at local bars or weddings, this stuff will likely fool you. Despite my being a champagne snob, I am very impressed with this because I didn't get it to be a dupe purist. I got it to make mocktail Mimosas and Bellinis and it works GREAT for that. For those of us who can no longer drink, but miss a brunch Bellini, this is for you. I mixed it with Torani White Peach, a touch of Peach Bubly Sparkling Water and a tiny drop of lime to cut the sweetness. It's perfect-- I'm entirely fooled. This is the way to go if you don't want a bunch of drunk folks at your brunch! The thing that I like the most about this as a dupe, despite it being a little fruitier (think Martinellis), is that the bubbles are accurate to the real thing. That's the fun of champagne! The bubbles aren't quite as fast or tight, but they are good enough to recreate the champagne experience. At last... I can have a Bellini again! Thanks Sutter Home!!!This is a good fun drink and good to mix with other non-alcoholic drinks. It's just too much trouble to open - took a hell of an effort to open, kinda ruins the mood the first time. Some reviewers complain that this isn't the best wine they've had. Of course it's not, it's non-alcoholic! I didn't have high expectations, but to me this sure beats drinking sparkling juice with the kids. I'm pregnant, and I enjoyed having my own drink while others were drinking real wine. Yes, it's on the sweeter side, so if you're really looking for a nice dry wine, it's not really for you. I enjoyed it on Thanksgiving, and will probably get another bottle for Christmas. This is as close to the real thing as it gets. I think it tastes amazing. Some people in the reviews say it is on the sweeter side, but I honestly thought it was normal. Grapes are a fruit though, you can't expect it to taste as dry as sand (and I wouldn't want it to). This is a sophisticated drink. Perfect for celebrating! It even has the fun cork you pull out! It is worth a try and even if it isn't your favorite, I doubt you'll regret purchasing it. I throughly enjoyed it when celebrating my 3rd anniversary with my husband.I'd give it two to three stars as a brut champagne-alternative--it is way too sweet and uncomplicated to stand in for that. A better descriptor might be prosecco-ish. HOWEVER, I find it as a useful substitute for cheap sparkling wine in mocktails. With some floral nonalcohol gin-alternative, squeeze of lemon, and a small squirt of simple syrup you can have something like a teetotal French 75. With other fruit syrups I can imaging approaching a bellini or kir royale.
