...or at least, they remind me of something that Eddy and Patsy would use!! lol These glasses are not of incredible quality, but they don't have to be. Clearly, you're not going to be getting a Riedel style experience of champagne when drinking from something of this size, let alone the design. But who cares?? I cannot count how many laughs I have gotten out of unsuspecting guests who I convinced to "just have ONE glass." Pee in your pants funny. I hand wash mine and have never had any issues with breaking, as other reviews have mentioned. I think if you hand wash, you shouldn't have any issues.The photo looks nothing like the multiple plain cardboard boxes and bubble wrap that enclosed the beer glass. It was so well protected it would have survived a rocket launch to the space station and required a fair amount of effort to open. Once revealed, the glass is described as "strictly a novelty item," presumably because they don't want to encourage heavy drinking. That's despite the heavy emphasis on how much beer it holds.The glass is the size of a flower vase, about a foot high and 4" in diameter. It holds 54 oz., almost a gallon of liquid. Once out of the box, I doubt it would survive tipping over and landing on its side on the table top. It's too fragile for the dish washer and must be hand washed. It would be hard to find a spot in my cabinet where it fits and wouldn't fall out and shatter. I stored it with our other flower vases.I bought it hoping to find a replacement for the Seven-Eleven "Thirsty 32-ouncer" plastic soda bottle, which I've been using to hold my breakfast shake in the mornings. I've searched Amazon and the Internet hoping to find a 32-ounce or slightly larger glass or plastic container that's sturdy and easy to clean. The only suggestions I could find were beer steins (mostly much smaller) or a flower vase.This glass served the purpose of being a funny gift. It doesn't look exactly like the picture, though. The stem and flute are much wider. The "clear" box that it came in was disgusting; it was dirty and looked as though it had been slid across the floor multiple times. The glass itself was dirty as well. It had some type of greasy/ oily film on it. It came off with one hand wash, but I shouldn't have to clean a product and buy a new box for it.The glass seems kind of thing. May easily get broken.I received a boot rather than a pilsner type glass but I still like it and is good qualityThis is a huge beer glass. It works and is sturdy (just don't drop it because like any glass it will break). Beware its giantness!!!!Very very good will buy more.just what I wanted in a large champagne class.I will tell my friends to buy itObviously not a high end glass but great for parties and for me, a holiday gift to my sparkling wine loving friend. Perfect!
